Accessibility statement
Last updated 6 October 2026
We want everyone to be able to book with us, including customers who use a screen reader, who need large text, or who cannot use a mouse or a fine touch gesture.
Where we are
We aim for the WCAG 2.1 AA standard. We do not meet all of it yet, and we would rather tell you plainly what works and what does not than claim more than we have done.
What we have done on this website
- Small text is dark enough to read against the background, at a contrast of 4.5 to 1 or more.
- A “Skip to the main content” link appears when you press Tab on any page.
- Form fields have labels, and errors are announced to screen readers.
- When you move between the steps of a booking, the focus moves to the new step, so you are not left on a button that has gone.
- Day and time buttons say whether they are picked, and they are at least 44 pixels tall.
- The focus outline is visible on every link, button and field.
- If something fails to load, the page says so and gives you a button to try again.
What we know is still missing
- Some sections of the home page do not rearrange on narrow screens, so they get cramped on a phone.
- A booking in progress is lost if the page is reloaded.
- We have not yet tested the whole site with VoiceOver, TalkBack or NVDA, and we do not have an automated accessibility check running on every change.
- Our phone apps have their own gaps, including thin borders that are hard to see and some small buttons.
If something does not work for you
Ring the salon on 732 419 3941 and tell us what happened and which phone or computer you were using. We will book you in over the phone straight away, and we will fix the problem.
